Derek Pretorius, owner and cabinet maker, was inspired by his grandfather’s passion who spent his lifetime creating quality and functional cabinets. Born in Kitchener Ontario, he moved to Toronto in his early 20’s and started as an apprentice in a cabinet making company at the age of 24. During this time he learned a lot about creating and building projects from planning and designing, to shop construction, up to finishing and installing them in your home or businesses.

In 2014, after 18 years of utilizing his skills and mastering the phases of cabinetry making, he started Derius Design. He and his team will make sure that your project, no matter how big or small, will be treated in the highest possible standards and professionalism.
